What is a Psychic anyway?

The word 'psychic' originates from the Greek word 'Psyche' meaning the human soul, spirit, or mind.

A true Psychic is extremely sensitive. Sensitive to touch, to light, to sounds, to smells, to colors, to energy. This can be a problem to many of us who are psychic, as we have difficulties with electrical appliances, computers, etc. Electrical anything. Before I learned to overcome this, I could not even put toast in a toaster without the toaster shorting out. And you can only imagine what I did to computers. The one I have now is the 11th one in 8+ years. I used to always seem to cause the 'Motherboard' (circuit board) to explode (literally explode). It is much like walking across carpet in socks, dragging your feet and then touching someone. Usually both of you receive a little electrical jolt. Only with many psychics that jolt is not so little and not towards people; only electrical devices. Thank God and the angels, I have learned how to use these things without problems. Some days when I use anything electrical I actually have to put on surgical rubber gloves to break the current between myself and the electrical device.

According to Sigmund Freud, there are three parts of each human; the ego, the super ego and the id. They relate to how we see ourselves; how others see us and who we really are. The "who we really are" is the spiritual side of us; the soul; that part of us that is made in the image of God. It is the soul that psychics look into the past, the present, and the future for our clients. Each of us has the mental side, the physical and the spiritual side. Thus each of us have psychic abilities. When the phone rings and you know who it is; you have a dream that becomes a reality; you know you are going to see or hear from a person; you have a 'gut' feeling that something is going to happen; or you say the same thing at the same time as someone else. These are all examples of psychic abilities. It is just that some who have developed and fine tuned that ability. And there are others of us who did not have to develop and fine tune. It was just destined for us to use this ability to help others. To develop psychic abilities one must be sensitive to vibrations of thought, sound, ideas, images appearing or floating around in your head. You must be sensitive to others. Sensitive to how they think, feel, act, and re-act. Sensitive to other's needs, wants and desires, and to all new ideas that come flooding into your mind.

What is a Psychic?

This is an excellent question. Most psychics do not know what a psychic truly is. Some think of themselves as Fortune Tellers, Mystics, Seers, Wise Men or Women etc.

I could go on and on, but I must explain it the way I know it. This most certainly may be in conflict with some of my colleagues, but this is the way that I see it.

First of all, the word psychic comes from the Freudian word "psyche". Psyche means the "mind". Psycho means "soul". So the word psychic comes from these words meaning Mind or Soul Mind. And both are true.

A true psychic is someone who thinks with his true mind. Not his conscious mind, but his sub-conscious mind, which is the psychic mind. In order to be a psychic, you must be sensitive to vibrations of thought, sound, ideas, and images in your head. You must be sensitive to others. Sensitive to how they think, feel, act, and re-act. You must be alert to the images swirling around in your head and to all new ideas that come crashing into your mind.

All ideas are psychic thoughts. Psychic thoughts are ideas or images of something you did not know previously. They are thoughts that you did not know before - anything new that flows into your mind. All old thoughts are just memories and have no value. Anything new that comes into your head is real. Of course you don't know they are real, and sometimes they may sound crazy to you. This is because you don't have any relationship with them.

When I am reading a person, I shut out all memories. So that is why it is a good thing to read someone that I don't know. There are no memories. All conscious thoughts are just memories - something that I have learned in my travels through life.

What I seek is something I don't know about the person. I then say what comes to me. I must have tremendous faith in what I am getting, otherwise I won't say what I see or feel, or imagine in my mind. It takes much faith in oneself to express the unknown. When you are reading a person psychically, you are reaching into the unknown. If it is known, then it isn't psychic. If it is known, then it is my own conscious mind, and it will be wrong every time. Most psychics are as good as they believe in themselves. Most don't. That is why they are wrong or become wrong in the reading.

When I read a person, I do not allow what I see with my eyes to tell me anything. I try not to focus upon what I see in this manner. So what is it that I do?

In the beginning, I would close my eyes and say whatever came into my mind's eye. Now to me, what I was saying did not make any sense. This is because what I was saying wasn't about me. It is about the person I am reading and I do not know anything about the person.

It is best that I know absolutely nothing about the person. Of course since I developed this insight, I can now read people I do know. How do I perform this way? By shutting out any knowledge of the person and opening up my intuitive mind to whatever comes to me.

I may see something, feel, hear, sense, or even smell something. Whatever it is, I just let it come to me. I just let it flow. The secret is in the letting. Never in the doing. Doing comes via the conscious mind. Letting is the subliminal mind. The subconscious mind.

What is palmistry?

Palmistry is a method of counselling that originated in India over 3,000 years ago. It is a part of a vast field of study, referred to as Samudrik Shastra, which literally means the ocean of knowledge. Palmistry is a sub-section of Samudrik Shastra and deals specifically with the study of the hand.

Is palmistry fortune-telling?

In a word: no. The original intent of palmistry was for personality assessment and counselling. One's emotional tendencies, social attitudes, conscious awareness and subconscious fears, blockages and strengths can be understood in great detail through this in-depth system.

Can you make predictions through palmistry?

You cannot make predictions with palmistry. However, since there is a definate mind-body connection, we know that negative or positive thinking affects our well-being. As well, due to our habitual way of thinking, we often repeat the same behaviour in the future as we exhibit in the present. If we can understand the pattern of our habits and thinking, then we can begin to isolate the negative cycles of behaviour and can replace them with positive new ones. Palmistry can help you see these patterns. With this information, you can shape own destiny.

How does palmistry work?

Palmistry is best seen as a dynamic process. The lines of the hand are not carved in stone. Since the lines of the hand reflect our thinking, as our attitudes and behaviour patterns change, the lines reflect these changes. The lines physically change as our thinking changes. In fact, you can see distinct changes in as little as three months.

Which hand do you read?

It is important to look at both hands during a reading. Depending on which hand is active (usually seen as the hand you write with),in combination with the inactive hand, shows where you have been (passive),and where you are likely headed (active) in this life.
